A year ago, the QALA project supported the initiative of Larysa Denysenko, human rights activist, writer and host on Hromadske Radio, and the Coordination Center for Legal Aid Provision in the creation of a program on free legal aid and access to justice in Ukraine.
The name of the radio program – “Gene of Justice” – was suggested by Larysa Denysenko, who became its devoted host.
As of April 2016, 2 cycles out of 55 episodes of the “Gene of Justice” were recorded.
The program became more than just a source of up-to-date information about the LA system, but a powerful human rights resource guide, where listeners could find valuable information about options of protecting their rights, hear true stories of real people and their defenders, namely LA lawyers, find out about special aspects of the legal protection of vulnerable population groups, etc.
We are grateful to the teams of Hromadske Radio and Coordination Center for Legal Aid Provision, in particular, Larysa Denysenko, Andrii Vyshnevskyi and Nadiia Kyzytska, as well as all those involved in the creation of th program: lawyers of the system, the staff of regional and local FSLA centers, heroes of the programs, for a year of hard work, and, most importantly, useful work, and we look forward to its continuation, as will start joint work on the third cycle of the “Gene of Justice” program soon.
